The Kai and Barb Foundation Grant is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Kai and Barbara Bundgaard, lifelong advocates for education who believed in the power of passionate teachers to shape the future. Each year, we aim to support 100 new teachers with $250 grants to purchase essential classroom supplies, easing the financial burden of starting their teaching journey.
These grants reflect Kai and Barbara’s empathy for educators and their commitment to fostering vibrant learning environments. Applications are accepted year-round, with awards distributed in November and May to align with university graduations and student teaching periods.
Eligibility
We welcome applications from new teachers in the United States who are beginning their first or second year of teaching in a K-12 classroom. Our grants prioritize educators who demonstrate enthusiasm and dedication to creating engaging learning spaces for their students.
